      How does your pricing system work?

      Our pricing and estimation are based on the flat-rate guaranteed pricing method, implying that when quote is provide, our moving consultants are considering volume of your inventory, the distance between pick-up and delivery point as well as potential special handling of delicate items. Once quoted per information provided, the pricing does not change unless you have more/less items on the day of the move!

      Is Teddy Moving & Storage licensed company for moving services?

      We are fully licensed and insured company, approved by Department of Transportation (DOT) for both local and interstate moves (DOT and MC numbers provided on our website).

      What is the duration of the move?

      It truly depends on the size of the move. Your designated Moving Consultant will be able to give you an accurate estimate based on the specifics of your move.

      What are the best days of the week to move and why?

      The ‘’best days’’ and the most budget-friendly for the move in the week are Saturday and Sunday (if your buildings allow relocation on those days, of course), otherwise we are looking into Wednesdays or Thursdays. If you have an option to pick the part of the month to make the move happen, usually avoiding beginnings and ending of the month will enable you to obtain a budget friendly quote, since most of the leases expire around ending of the month, creating limited availability for moving companies.

      How far in advance should I book?

      In the perfect world, we recommended 3-5 weeks before the day of the actual move. That is suggested to make sure that we are covering all the details beforehand and have a smooth sailing on the day of! However, Teddy Moving Team can even assist with last minute moves, therefore no worries, you are in safe paws!

      Does Teddy Moving & Storage provide a Certificate of Insurance for my building?

      Most definitely, Teddy Moving Team will provide your building management with filled out Certificate of Insurance (COI). We will provide COI before the start of the move.

      Do you provide the Packing services?

      We pride ourselves on our packing services! We understand that your schedule might be tight at times, not leaving enough room to pre-pack. Our Moving Consultant will be more than happy to explain the packing process of your clothes, delicate/ fragile items, appliances. And even offer full unpacking services if that is something of your interest – that would imply that you will be dealing with our elite Teddy Gold tm   Team!

      Payment and Pricing

      What are available payment methods?

      We accept both Debit and Credit Cards (American Express, MasterCard, Visa), Certified Bank Checks, Postal Money Order and even Cash payment if client insists during COVID19 times.

      Do I pay before or after for my move?

      To reserve the slot and the rate with Teddy Moving Team, the only payment required is a fully refundable deposit. Furthermore, the due balance is to be collected 1 day before the move starts, which will enable our Dispatch Team to assign the crew for your move and confirm your relocation in our system!

      Before and After Delivery

      When can I expect the movers to pick-up my items?

      Teddy Moving Crew designated for your relocation will contact you around 30 mins before they arrive, in hopes to give you enough lead way to make yourself available.

      If something is damaged what are the next steps?

      Per the requirement for all moving companies in the state of New York, Teddy Moving + Storage is obligated to refund clients, in God forbid situation where items get damaged, at the rate of $0.60 per a pound of damaged item. Furthermore, if you are moving items of high intrinsic and sentimental value to you, our Moving Consultant will be more than happy to suggest additional insurance options.

      How do I contact office for the feedback about how my move went?

      When our movers are done with your relocation, Foreman of the crew will put you in touch with your Moving Consultant for the feedback. You can share your impression via phone call after the job or if more comfortable, our Feedback Team is always reachable at [email protected]. Any constructive criticism is always appreciated, as well as any positive review of a job well done by our Team!

      Pick-up & Delivery

      Do you protect furniture items?

      That is where we are at our best! Our Team will fully protect your items not just because of your piece of mind, but also ours piece of mind as well – we treat your belongings just like ours! Moving Crew uses plastic wrapping, with heavy duty blankets as additional protection.

      Do movers only work from 9am-5pm?

      Our Professionals are assisting with your move until the relocation is fully complete, or until restricted by the building. Furthermore, our Moving Consultants are available every day from 8am-9pm.

      Will the weather affect my move?

      The weather can only affect the conditions of actual roads, therefore only if weather experts warn us not to work on those days, Teddy Moving Team will not be able to accomplish the task. Otherwise, our movers are trained to work in all conditions and properly protect your items, no matter the weather situation.

      How many guys will be there?

      It truly depends on the size of your move. One day before the move, our Dispatch Team will assign the exact number of crew members based on the volume of your inventory agreed upon with your Moving Consultant. Our Teams range between minimum 2 and maximum 8 professionals.

      Will the movers unmount my TV?

      Yes, our movers can unmount TVs.

      Will the movers uninstall/install my AC unit?

      Due the liability issues, our movers cannot the uninstall/install AC unit.

      What happens if your crew receives the parking ticket in a busy street?

      The quote provided to you by your Moving Consultant is all inclusive – meaning that parking tickets, tolls and fuel & mileage are included in the quote!

      Do I need to be present during to move?

      Our Team fully understand that contact-free move is something of great importance to our clients during COVID19 pandemic. If client cannot be present during the relocation process, even the presence of legal representative is an option. However, if unable to be present at all, our Team can reach out to you via phone call / Face Time option.

      Packing & Unpacking

      Do you provide the boxes for me to pre-pack?

      Yes, we can deliver the boxes for you to self-pack. Depending on the size, we are looking at following sizes: Small/Book Box, Medium Box, Large/China Box, Wardrobe, TV Boxes Our Moving Consultant will address the pricing for the material and point out the free delivery service.

      Do you provide boxes on the day of the move?

      Yes, we will provide the boxes on the day of the move. If you opted out for full packing service by our professionals, Teddy Moving Team will supply the boxes on the day of the move or even one day before (depending on the size of your inventory list).

      Should I empty my drawers?

      Yes, you need to empty your all drawers (dresser, nightstand, tv stand). Please note that furniture pieces which are full of items can be damaged during the relocation process since these items are not intended to be moved in that fashion, due to additional weight. Additionally, removing the items from drawers could eliminate the potential of our professionals getting injured, and we thank you for that! Furthermore, the additional policy of the company is for clients to the take most important belongings with themselves (keys, jewelry, documents).

      Will you empty the boxes?

      If unpacking is included in the quote initially, Teddy Moving Crew will empty out each box (small, medium, large) and put things in a certain place, including all wardrobe boxes as well.

      Miscellaneous

      Should I tip the movers? How much?

      Gratuity is not included in the total cost of the move.  Per industry standard, 15%-20% gratuity is recommended, however it is solely up to client to reward the crew for the job well done.

      How big is the truck?

      Our fleet has trucks ranging in sizes from the 16’-26’ long.

      Can I drive in the truck with the movers?

      Please understand that there is huge liability on a moving company transporting clients in the cabin.  Policy of the company unfortunately doesn’t allow you to drive with movers.
